Established in 1985, Paragon Mortgages work mainly with mortgage intermediaries but also welcome direct applications from all landlords. Regarded as the main UK provider of buy-to-let mortgages for professional landlords and residential property investors, they deliver a mortgage service that is specifically designed to the needs of landlords. Paragon Mortgages began as the National Home Loans Corporation with their Homeloans service back in 1995, so have many years experience within the industry, They changed their name to the Paragon Group of Companies in 1997 to focus on commercial lending in the buy to let market. The Paragon lending criteria for loan amounts up to £500,000 is straightforward, the maximum loan to value is 75%, for loans up to £1,000,000 the loan to value figure is 70%, up to £2,000,000 they will lend 65% of the property value.
